How it works

Cómo funciona
01

You walk

The app reads your distance from Apple Health. No need to open it, no start button, no phone in your hand.

02

Stops appear on the road

Every few kilometres, a new stop. You will never have to walk more than 4 km to find the next one. Chapters, the big moments of the story, arrive with a pixel-art scene of their own.

03

The journey goes on

Week by week the route draws itself whole. If you stop, it waits where you left it; nothing breaks. Your progress is kept only on your iPhone: if you uninstall the app, it goes with it.

The library

La biblioteca

Public-domain classics and two original tales, edited into chapters you can walk: fourteen routes and about 10,700 km, every one in English and Spanish. Sold in themed packs (Literary Classics, Mythic Epics, Expeditions and Original Fantasy), or all together as the complete collection. You do not need to pay to begin: The Lost Library is free whole, and so are the first 36 km of The Odyssey.

What Pixelnauta isn’t

No streaks, no ads, no guilt. You pay once and that’s that.

No streaks
Nothing to break on the day you stay in.
No ads
No banners, no sponsors, no nudging.
No accounts
The app asks for no sign-up, no email, no password. The form on this page is only for the launch announcement.
Works offline
Reading and walking work in airplane mode: everything in the story is inside the app. Only the sky’s weather and purchases need a signal.
What you walk is yours
Your steps stay on your iPhone. No servers, no analytics, no profiles. The only thing that leaves is your location, and only so the sky in the story knows what the weather is doing. If you uninstall the app, your progress goes with it.
